To symbolize this mythological event, an ancient temple of Hanuman is built on the hillock of Kasauli. It is situated at the height of 300 meter from Kasauli which is also called as Monkey Point.
Later this area was discovered as cantonment area by British Raj during 1842. They also established colonial area to develop this place as tourist destination. This was the perfect hide out for them during blistering hot season in India. To increase the importance of town, Central Research Center and Kasauli Club were established in 1905 and 1880 respectively.
